Terms of Use.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and DevLab (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of Kantu. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use Kantu for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

2. License

Subject to these terms, Kantu grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control for lawful personal use.

You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass technical protections, or create derivative services from Kantu except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for access to your Kantu account and for keeping your Apple or Google sign-in account secure. Provide accurate information and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You can delete your account from the Account screen in Kantu or through the web deletion process. Account deletion does not cancel a store subscription.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Kantu offers a free monthly picture allowance and may offer Basic and Premium auto-renewing subscriptions. The app displays current prices, billing periods, trial terms if any, and included picture allowances before purchase. Store prices may vary by country, currency, and tax.

Payment is charged through the Apple App Store or Google Play at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled through the applicable store before the renewal deadline shown by that store. Canceling stops future renewal; paid access generally remains until the end of the current billing period.

Unused monthly picture allowances do not roll over. A successful new visual analysis uses one picture. Changing language, retrying a failed request, or playing pronunciation does not use another picture. Choosing “More detail” starts a new analysis and uses an additional picture.

Use Kantu’s Restore purchases action if an eligible purchase is not recognized. Refunds and billing disputes are handled according to Apple’s or Google’s policies. Deleting the app or your Kantu account does not cancel a subscription.

5. Your pictures and content

You keep ownership of pictures and other content you submit. You give Kantu a limited permission to process that content only as needed to provide visual analysis, translation, pronunciation, private collection storage you request, support, security, and related app functionality.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that doing so does not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or applicable law. Do not submit confidential documents or sensitive personal information.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Kantu to:

• Break the law or violate another person’s rights.
• Upload harmful, exploitative, abusive, or unlawful content.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or bypass Kantu’s security and usage controls.
• Use automated systems to consume the service outside the normal app experience.
• Misrepresent Kantu’s results as professional, safety-critical, or guaranteed advice.

7. AI-generated results

Kantu uses automated visual-language and speech systems. Labels, translations, confidence descriptions, pronunciations, and example sentences may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular context. Similar-looking objects can be confused, and the exact word may depend on region or dialect.

Kantu is a learning utility, not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, safety, accessibility, or emergency guidance. Verify important information independently before relying on it.

8. Kantu ownership

Kantu, its software, branding, app icon, interface, and original materials are owned by DevLab or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

9. Availability and changes

Kantu may change, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, supported languages, providers, plans, or allowances. We aim to keep the service useful and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Internet access and compatible hardware and software are required for online features.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kantu is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevLab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of Kantu, loss of data, reliance on generated results, or inability to access the service.

11. Ending use

You may stop using Kantu and delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal obligations, or address a serious or repeated violation of these terms.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when Kantu or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
